When you’re approaching things like Chronic Pelvic Pain of any nature, the lessons you learn, overcoming each milestone on your journey are such feats, the wisdom learned on your journey is invaluable, all the knowledge and prospective you gain along the way is priceless.
No longer can you ignore the power of being relentless in pursuit of your focus to feel yourself again to breathe again.
No longer can you avoid the immense power boiling within you, it all started with a spark which was the need to pursue answers to your chronic pelvic pain.
Nothing stands in the way of an immovable, unrelenting, and unwavering force to be reckoned with like a woman empowered, empowered by her choices to live her best life against all the odds.
You empower those who are struggling and still finding their path and pave a way forward for us all with your bravery to come up against a system lead to bewilder you with the pain you feel everyday.
It takes courage to have the hard conversation with people we know and doctors about what we feel and the complexity of chronic pelvic pain and confront your fears and anxiety’s surrounding your illness/condition.
It takes patience to respond with dignity to the person who tells you
You will be fine eventually” “it is in your head” “take that pill and it will settle”“your pain relief makes your pain worse” “counselling will help it neuropathic” “wait for menopause it will get easier”
It takes strength to pursue answers to be let down repeatedly, practicing rebuilding your faith time and time again. Feeling judged and knocked off your perch of crumbling faith I have been there too…
It takes a pelvic pain warrior (with the weight of the world on her shoulders) to show up to work everyday, for her family everyday, for her friends, for herself day after day; to face discouragement and still find the energy to show up everyday.
It takes tenacity to install goodness in us and internal vigilance to teach ourselves how to pick ourselves up repeatedly.
It takes unwavering trust to believe that all this matters the symptoms, bad days, intuitive feelings surrounding the pain in your body.
It takes faith that a life well-lived is within our reach and closer than we could imagine daring to dream your dreams despite the odds.
You are fierce you are a force to be reckoned with!
I wanted to express these very ideals for you, for whoever hears my Healing with chronic pelvic pain podcast or on my blog.
I grew up unaware of how much my life would change living with debilitating chronic pelvic pain I never fathomed getting pregnant to have my three young boys would lead me towards the path of chronic pelvic pain, or losing my angel baby’s with these factors in mind I was diagnosed with endometriosis, Adenomyosis and pudendal neuralgia all in the space of five short years after having my children and grieving great losses of children I will never hold I, never imagined having a hysterectomy and two more major surgeries losing my tubes firstly my uterus along with-my painful adenomyosis then lastly having endometriosis removal off the vault/cuff and other areas in my pelvis. I am and have been where you are or at some point lived with what you may be dealing with, I currently have pudendal neuralgia and a secondary pain area in the vault to be explored and Reoccurring endometrioses of the cuff/vault.
I am a chronic pelvic pain warrior.
My husband and three young boys (the men in my life) continue to be an inspiration and an example of how far a good sense of humour, empathy and compassion will take you.
If you have someone in your life who inspires you in the way they live and still love through their pain, pass this on to them. It is an “I see you” kind of thing. Consider asking them how they are today and if their pain is okay how did that doctor’s appointment go? hows your progress since we last spoke? Its the little questions that help your chronic pelvic pain sufferer feel seen and heard breaking down the barrier inside that we live with being isolated surrounding pelvic pain.
As a woman Living with chronic pelvic pain, I thought I would write a lovely letter for you the one who is Dealing with Chronic Pain everyday.
My Letter to you..
Not everyone will appreciate how far you have come, but I do, I see you.
It’s not everyone who will see the beauty of your being here, but I see you
I know the damage that has been inflicted on you, it is not always a visible thing.
There are emotions you have had to work through that some go their whole lives keeping silent or not feeling those intense emotions at all you live with through your pain
There are losses you have had to accept that some will never even dream of carrying grieving for your body that has changed so much
I see the ways you have been humbled to dust and how that has not stopped you from doing your best.
I know how hard it is to ask for help but know this: it is an honour for me to be someone you can relate to.
I feel the heaviness that goes with chronic pelvic pain.
I respect how precious your energy is, and I respect you as a human being a warrior with all you live through.
I hear the thoughts that tick over needing answers the feeling of anxiety as you breathe your way through the pain, and I honour the entirety of these experiences.
You are not lesser than because of your story.
You are a person I adore, full of wisdom and compassion that only hardship can teach.
You understand better than most the balance between effort and surrender, the meaning of patience.
You don’t need to hide from your truth. You show up every single day
I can only imagine how hard some days are just to get out the door.
Your wisdom rising from all you endure is an honour you should be proud to show it
it shows the world what is possible when you keep going.
I am grateful you exist, that you do more than just exist.
I am grateful you still let your light shine through.
In the middle of everything you have been dealing with, that is what you are here to do.
What a beautiful thing it is, to be you: to know your light and your laughter; to know how resilient you can be.
Thank you for taking the time to read “Beautiful you are still a force to be reckoned with living with chronic pelvic pain” and visiting my blog, be kind to yourself always and if you have anything to say I would love to hear from you in the comments, I would love to hear your story.
Keep filling your cup with kindness!
